Summer Lookbook ft. Stitch Fix | AD

I shared a little sneak peek, on Instagram, the other day of some fun photos that I took, and today I’m so excited to share them with you! I’m even more excited to tell you that I am teaming up with Stitch Fix to show you some cool, fun looks for the summer. I think that lookbooks are helpful to see if you’re having trouble deciding what to wear or how to pair your pieces of clothing together. In this post I’ll tell you about each look below and where you can find each item. Stitch Fix has also been a great way for me to find specific pieces of clothing that I am looking for, without having to go out and hunt all over town or spend hours shopping. Stitch Fix is an online subscription style service that delivers a personalized, online shopping experience right to your door. Once you create an account, you fill out their Style Profile and you will be matched with a personal stylist who hand picks the items to fit your style, budget, and needs. Each order contains 5 items that could include clothing, shoes, or accessories, and you can try them on, keep them, or send them back for free if they do not suit you. Plus, if you keep all 5 items in your order, you get 25% off your entire order. You can receive orders as often as you like, on occasion, or when you have a special event and need something to wear. I have used Stitch Fix several times over the last couple of years and the pieces that I have received have been of good quality, exactly what I have been looking for, and affordable for my price range.

Now you can have your own personal stylist!

I really like this white top because of the detail on the shoulders! Isn’t it adorable?? I also like the texture of this shirt and that it is sweet but simple. I matched the top with these ripped skinny jeans, which I have also been able to wear year-round. These jeans fit me so well, they don’t stretch out, and you can wear them with just about anything. For this outfit, throw on some detailed sandals to match the detail of the shirt, and go about your summery weekend!

A LBD (little black dress) is always a good thing to have on hand if you don’t know what to wear. What I love even more than that though is a LNBD (little navy blue dress….and I think I made that up). I wore this dress to my cousin’s wedding last year and I was so happy that Stitch Fix came through for me on this order, because I specifically requested an item that I could wear to a formal occasion. A LNBD, nude heels, and a textured clutch are all you need for a fancy night out! These shoes are also some of the most comfortable heels that I’ve ever owned.

I used to be sooo against the whole cold-shoulder trend, but then I saw this shirt. I love the pattern and how the shirt fits me. Does it remind anyone of 101 Dalmatians? Anyway… I paired this shirt with another pair of jeans and my trusty, nude espadrille wedges. Because of the bold pattern, you don’t need a lot of accessories and so I added a simple long necklace.

Break out the shorts! Break out the Birks (or faux Birks in this case)! These next couple of outfits are SO me and I tend to wear these items the most in the summer. A simple striped t-shirt is so classic and can go with so many things. I paired this shirt with some distressed denim shorts and leather sandals.

I don’t typically wear pink-hued colors but when I saw this shirt I decided to break out of the box and try something new. I like the tribal print of this top and how soft it is. Shirts like this are great for just throwing on and still helping to add some flair to an outfit. I wore this shirt with another pair of distressed boyfriend jeans and leather sandals. These jeans also fit me very well and do not stretch out.

This is my favorite outfit of all because a black top, jeans, and sandals are probably one of my favorite outfits to wear. I found this top a few weeks ago and just loved the embroidery on the front and the thin straps on top. I paired this top with the same boyfriend jeans, leather sandals, and a long necklace. Stitch Fix has also sent me some simple, high quality jewelry that is perfect for my style.

  1. I loved this post and those distressed jeans are amazing! How long did you use Stitch Fix before you started getting more pieces that you liked? How many items do you typically keep from a box?

    • Another thing I forgot to mention is that you can link your Pinterest board if you pin things fashion related. Your stylist can look at your board to help them pick out the pieces. I think I have only not liked one box that I received only because the items did not fit me. I think I have actually kept 4-5 pieces of each one but it all 5 fit, I keep them so I can get the 25% off discount.
