Fall Fashion Pin-Spiration: Use Pinterest to Help You Find Your Fall Style

It’s September again! My birthday month, the beginning of fall, and (hopefully) the promise of cooler weather ahead. I love all things fall–the weather, colors, fashion, scents, and flavors. However, I do not approve of Starbucks launching PSLs in August. I’m not even really a fan of pumpkin spice flavored things, but if you are–I forbid you from eating/drinking anything pumpkin spice until at least October 1st. Ok, not forbid but I just can’t get behind it yet when it’s still 100 degrees in Oklahoma.

Enough rambling, Amy.

I really look forward to fall fashion/style and usually can’t wait to pull out my cardigans, sweaters, and comfy layers. One tool that I use a lot, to find specific looks at the beginning of a season, is Pinterest. You can type in a style or piece that you’re looking for and so many visual results appear and provide inspiration–or “Pin-spiration” as I like to call it, haha!

Today I’m sharing with you some of my fall “Pin-spiration” and some styles that I’m really into this season.

LONG CARDIGANS

Cardigans are my ESSENTIALS in the fall. They are so easy to throw on with jeans, work wear, dresses/skirts, and they are so comfy. I love wearing long cardigans when traveling as well because it’s almost like you’re wearing a warm blanket.

BOOTS

I used to wear only riding boots in the fall but I’ve been really into ankle boots the last couple of years. Ankle boots are another item that can easily be paired with so many things and looks. Chelsea boots and boots with detail are my favorite looks.

JEWEL TONE COLORS

I typically wear exclusively black, grey, navy, and other neutral colors but in the fall I feel more adventurous with wearing color. I love deep blue, red, green, yellow, or any other jewel tone color in the colder months. I have a mustard yellow scarf in my closet that I can’t wait to wear.

COATS

I think that Kate Middleton has had a huge influence with fashion coat trends and I’m all for it. Coats are now made in so many colors, textures, and are way more stylish than puffer/ski coats. I think a coat is a great way to finish an outfit/look and it also keeps you staying warm in style!
