Welcome Back: My Life Update, New Blog Focus, and Favorites of the Season

Hey there, readers! It’s been forever since I last wrote and boy, oh boy, do I have a ton of things to share with you! I can’t wait to catch up!

In the past year and a half, the most significant update in my life has been becoming a mother. Last December, my husband and I were blessed with the arrival of our sweet son. Being a mother is a precious role given to me by God, and I am enjoying every moment of it. Although it involves a lot of hard work, I am grateful for the grace and strength provided by God each day. As my son’s first birthday approaches, I am amazed at how quickly time has flown by. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences as a mother and hope you will find them helpful.

Since becoming a mom, I’m still juggling a full-time job, taking care of the house, and being a wife to my hubby. There is always something to do, and sometimes I feel like I’m falling behind. Can you relate? For my new blog, I want to share practical tips, a little boost of encouragement, and some useful tools for all the women out there going through similar seasons of life. I’d love to hear what you think would be most helpful!

One of the things I loved to write about in the past was my favorite items of the season. So, it felt just right to kick off the first blog post in a long while in the same style.

(Disclaimer: This blog post has some affiliate links. Just wanted to let you know, these are my own thoughts and opinions.)

Baby Items:

Travel Bottle & Food Warmer — This has been our most essential item for traveling. You can fill the thermos with hot water and then heat a bottle whenever needed on the go.

Wipe Warmer — Game. Changer. We live in a 1950s house with hardwood floors, and sometimes it can feel a bit chilly. Having this wipe warmer has been so nice to not freeze the little buns off my baby, awake or asleep.

Beauty Items:

NYX Butter Gloss — I have about 4 shades of this in my purse right now. This gloss is so easy to apply and is super hydrating.

Acure Dry Shampoo Powder — I love that this dry shampoo is in powder form and not in an aerosol can. I find that this powder is very effective for my hair type and helps it stay looking clean and fresh.

Andalou Naturals Hairspray — Even before pregnancy and birth, I’ve been super sensitive to some scented hair products. This hairspray has a very light scent and provides medium-strength hold. I love that this brand uses more natural ingredients as well.

Home Items:

Large Throw Blankets — I have one of these over every bed and every couch in my house. Seriously. They’re so comfortable, warm, and the perfect addition for cozy staying-at-home vibes. These blankets also come in a variety of colors. I prefer the King-sized blankets since they cover more areas of furniture.

Bed Sheets — These are hands down my favorite sheets to buy. I’ve bought several pairs over the years and they come in several colors as well.

Velvet Curtains -I’m obsessed with these curtains!! I have a set in dark grey, both in my bedroom and my son’s room. Let me tell you, they not only keep the light out like a gem but also give the rooms such a fancy texture. Love it!

I can’t wait to connect with you more in upcoming blog posts! If you want to stay updated, just drop your email below and I’ll make sure to notify you whenever I publish something new.
