Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great start to your Memorial Day weekend! Yay for extended weekends!! I, for one, am very thankful for some R&R, as it has been an extremely busy month. Summer is here, I think, and that means spending more time outside, getting some sun (yassss!), spending time with friends, and eating summer season goodies. Here are just a few things that I have been enjoying this month as I kick off my summer.
Coconut Oil: I have a whole other blog post coming about this soon, so I won’t go into great detail this time, but I have been loving using coconut oil on my skin this month. I’ve used it to remove makeup, moisturize, etc…
Jergens Natural Glow Face Moisturizer: Because of my european DNA, I am very fair-skinned and I can use all the sunshine I can get. As I’m transitioning to summer and being able to be outside more, this product has been great to add a little color and glow to my skin.
Elf Illuminating Face Primer: I’ve started using a face primer to help my makeup last longer throughout the day, and this is an awesome one. It’s only a few $ and I got it at Walmart last time I decided to be brave, ha! This primer is literally golden and it adds some shimmer and glow underneath foundation, or you could even wear it alone.
Rifle Paper Co Desk Calendar: I had a coupon code in my April Birchbox for Rifle Paper Co. and I bought a desk calendar and a wall calendar when there was a sale online. This calendar is super cute and it’s been a great addition to my workspace.
Health Warrior Chia Protein Bar: I found this brand at TJMaxx a few months ago and have loved throwing these bars into my bag to have when I get hangry/low blood sugar/etc. I’ve loved the Dark Chocolate Coconut Sea Salt flavor also! These bars are gluten-free, soy-free, chia seed based, and have 10 grams of protein. I have the hardest time finding gluten-free bars that are also soy-free, because I’ve discovered that I have an allergy to soy as well. So if you have specific food allergies to avoid, this might be a good snack to try.
La Croix: I have been trying so hard to not reach for the candy or sweet stuff when I get a craving for something sugary, during that mid-afternoon slump. La Croix is sparkling water with natural flavor and it has been an awesome alternative. This drink comes in many different flavors and one of mine at the moment is the coconut flavor (there is a trend happening with all this coconut stuff).
Fringe Sandals: Ahhhh! I can’t tell you how much I LOVE these shoes! I found this pair and a black pair on Groopdealz a few weeks ago and they were only $7.99! These are just as comfortable to me as Birkenstocks, only much, much less expensive.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about this month’s favorites! Let me know if you have any favorite things from this month! Excuse me while I go drink my Coconut La Croix 🙂
Love from, Amy.
