July is almost over. Can you believe it?? I don’t know about you but this month was kind of weird. In between the busyness of summer and some unexpected hard times, I’m kind of ready to begin a new month. But while we still have a last few days of July, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite things this month.
PUSH: Pray Until Something Happens by Jurgen Matthesius. I’m still in the process of reading this book but it has been a great encouragement for me and my prayer life. I realize that my prayer life ebbs and flows, sometimes it seems as though it is constant and other times I can’t even remember the last time I really prayed. The Lord wants to hear from His children and He is using all circumstances to draw us closer to Him. Pray until something happens!
Pacifica Waikiki Pikake perfume. I recently bought this at Whole Foods and I have been wearing it all the time. I am very sensitive to fragrances but this one is perfect for me, not too overpowering but not too watered down. It reminds me of being in Hawaii with my sister and her family last fall. Don’t you love how scents can take us back to certain memories?
Nuun Hydration Tablets. I bought these during a BOGO sale at Sprouts earlier this month. My sister and I had been training for a running race and I needed all the hydration help I could get. Gatorade seems to mess up my blood sugar so these tablets were a great alternative. the flavors are great and they even give your water a little fizz. Fair warning though, if you have Celiac Disease, make sure you read the ingredients on each flavor because I found some that had wheat germ oil and did not say “Gluten Free.” These are also great for traveling!
Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream. This product retails for $48.00 but was sent to me in the Summer FabFitFun box (which is $49.99 4x/year and contains products retailing over $200). Thus product has been a great moisturizer for the summer and has been great at helping keep my skin under control. I’m going to be really sad when I run out of this product because I don’t think I could ever let myself pay almost $50 for a moisturizer. Sad face.
Essential Oil Allergy Blend. I have had non-stop allergy/sinus problems this summer. Uhhgh. Isn’t that supposed to be saved for the colder months? Thanks a lot Oklahoma. Ok I’m done. I went to see one of my dearest friends earlier this month and she was SO sweet to make me my own essential oil blend to help with these problems. The base of the oil is Almond Oil and the essential oil contents are 5 drops of Lavender, 5 drops of Lemon, and 5 drops of Peppermint. She put it in the cutest roller ball bottle and it’s been super easy to apply on my temples and neck. Thank you Steph!!!!
Royal Pains. Another THANK YOU STEPH!!!! I have been hooked on this show this month. It reminds me a lot of Psych and that’s another one of my favorite shows. Royal Pains is about an ER Doctor turned Concierge Doctor in the Hamptons. If you like medical shows, this one is awesome!
I hope you enjoyed reading about my faves of the month, stay tuned for more! Don’t forget to subscribe if you never want to miss a post!
