Travel Day Makeup

If you follow me on instagram, you’ll know that I just went on a super fast trip to Iceland! On days when I am traveling, my makeup is the last thing I really want to worry about or focus on. There are too many things to see and do, in my opinion, than spend tons of time on makeup. However, I do not feel super comfortable just going around with at least a little bit of coverage and color– not to mention with my dark eye circles on full display.

Keep on reading if you want to know my quick travel day makeup picks.

Almay Smart Shade CC Luminous Primer. This can be applied after putting on moisturizer and it acts for 2 purposes– helping makeup stay on longer throughout the day and to add in a little luminosity and shimmer to the skin. I love this product and I’m almost finished with this bottle.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation. This it a matte-finish foundation and it stays put! I haven’t worn this for 25 hours straight before but the bottle says it’s supposed to last that long.

Elf Concealer. This might be my favorite concealer at the moment because the coverage and pigmentation is awesome. This shade is great for concealing my dark circles and any other spots.

Elf Eyebrow Pencil. I like that this has a fine nib at one end and a spoolie on the other. Just fill in any areas of your brows that may be a little thin and run the brush through to add a more natural finish.

NYX Eyebrow Gel. After using the pencil, run a coat or 2 through the brows to give a little more color and to help everything in place.

Covergirl Waterproof Mascara. After curling the eyelashes, apply a coat of waterproof mascara. You never know what your day is going to be like and there’s nothing more embarrassing than noticing that you’ve had runny mascara all over your face. Waterproof mascara also holds the curl for longer.

NYC Sun ‘N’ Bronze. Buff some bronzer onto the contours and apples of the cheeks to give a little more color and shimmer to the skin. This has been my favorite bronzer for a while now.

Carmex or Burts Bees Lip Shine. Depending on what kind of color you want on the lips, you can go for a few different products. It’s easy to have dehydrated lips when traveling so it’s important to keep them hydrated. I love the Carmex for just that reason and I really like the smell. However, if you want a little bit of color on the lips, the Burts Bees line is also great for that and also for the hydration.

What is your travel makeup look? See you next time!

Love from, Amy.
