Today is the last day of February which means it’s time to round-up all of my favorite things from this past month. I really love doing Favorites posts because it’s always a mental reminder for me to be on the look out for little things that make the day more special, things that bring me joy, and anything else that I think you should know about. This month was pretty busy for me and all of these items I used consistently this month.
The Popcast with Knox and Jamie Podcast. If you like podcasts, and just anything that will make you laugh, you need this in your life. Knox and Jamie have said that their podcast is dedicated to “delightful idiocy” and “celebrating things that do not matter.” Knox and Jamie talk about all things related to our pop culture, which provides some hilarious comic relief. These two together are hysterical and will have you laughing out loud, even if you’re in the car by yourself, and if you get a chance to hear Knox’s laugh…your day will be made. I’m getting ready to be on the road this weekend so I can’t wait to catch up on these podcasts. To subscribe to the podcast, go to iTunes and search for “The Popcast with Knox and Jamie” or visit their website at http://www.knoxandjamie.com.
Asics Gel-Evate 3 Running Shoes. One of my sisters told me years ago that Asics were the best running shoes and that I needed to get some. She was right. I bought my first pair a few years ago while I was training for a half marathon and I just now had to replace them. Asics are great because different styles were created for different levels of arch support, different surfaces, different distances, and pronation vs. overpronation. I had to replace mine in the last few months and I’ve worn them so much lately for traveling, doing errands, gym time, etc. These are worth the investment as they last a really long time.
Moleskin 2017 Weekly Planner. I mentioned this in my What’s In My Travel Bag post a few weeks ago and I’m still using the heck out of this planner. I also really like that this planner is bound like a hard back book and has the elastic closure.
Bath & Body Works Bergamot Waters Candle. One of my friends gave me this candle this month and you can see that I’ve burned it down about half way so far. This scent is amazing and makes the atmosphere really relaxing. The scent is of bergamot, citrus, ocean-y, and sandalwood.
Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls. I went to Ulta a few weeks ago and picked up a few Physicians Formula products during a BOGO half off sale. The Translucent shade of the Mineral Glow Pearls is very subtle but also give the skin a nice glow, which is nice in the winter when you feel like you’re looking a little porcelain. I’ve included a picture of a swatch to show how it looks on top of the skin.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. This bronzer smells like Hawaii. And coconut. And chocolate. I ran out of bronzer and I’ve read so many reviews of this product so I thought I’d try it out, especially since there was a sale going on. This is a very buttery product, it applies smoothly, and it is a great shade for my skin tone. I’ve had a few bronzers before that were utter failures so I’m glad those are out of my life. I also swatched the bronzer in the picture above.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Anti-Aging Concealer. I’ve used a few sample sizes of this concealer and it is the most pigmented of any that I’ve ever used. The coverage is very full and you could also use it as a foundation. I only needed a tiny amount and it covered both of my dark under eyes. Praise Jesus!
What have been some of your favorite things this month? I’m still working on a schedule for content in March but I’m hoping to still have new posts up on Tuesdays and Fridays. Don’t forget to subscribe if you never want to miss a post!
