I hope you’ve enjoyed the Flashback Friday Travels posts that I’ve written, because today I’m going to tell you about the trip that started it all–France. My first trip overseas was in the Spring of 2013 and it was to Paris, France. I went with my mom, a few sisters, my brother-in-law, nephew, and niece and had the best time. The getting-to-Paris-part was definitely interesting/memorable/stressful because we were all on different flights, we flew into different cities, and our international phone plan decided to not work. However, looking back, I wouldn’t have changed any part of that experience because it taught me that sometimes you have to be flexible when traveling, that you really have no control, and to remember the experience. I hope you enjoy these photos!
Sacré-Cœur Basilica

Arc de Triomphe on Champs-Élysées
Versailles–Château de Versailles
One day we took the train to Versailles and spent the day walking the palace gardens. So beautiful!
The Louvre Museum
We didn’t go into the museum but we walked past it every day because our Airbnb apartment was close by.
The Eiffel Tower on Champ de Mars
I love these teal doors! I tried to take a photo each time I saw a unique door.
We loved walking through markets every day–look at all the cheese! There were so many fromageries (cheese shops) and boulangeries (bakeries) that we would buy groceries from, instead of eating out each meal.
I love this city! I remember when I went with my French class back in 2015 and that’s how my love of travel started as well. A sort of magical aura flows through the city. Thanks for sharing! : )
