#4: Just Do Three Things | with PDF

Hello, friends! Today I am celebrating 5 years of this blog being on the internet–yay! I haven’t stayed super consistent in the last couple of years, but I’m really intending to be more so this year. I was not able to get a post up last week, so I have two posts coming for you this week!

The weekends are typically my days to get stuff done around the house, so that I won’t have to worry about it during the work week. Depending on my work days, some days I have a lot of energy to get more things done but then on some others, I’m totally done for the day. One thing that I try to tell myself on days that I’m really tired is, “just do three things.” If I can do a few things each night, I find that my house stays cleaner longer throughout the week. I’ve made a PDF file for you that has a list of things that I might try to do in the evenings, and I hope it’s helpful for you! While this is not an exhaustive list, it’s just some ideas if you are tired but still need to tidy your home. Maybe you have some more things to add to this list!

Some of the things that I try to do, if I’m just doing 3 things, are:

-Take out the trash
-Wash a load of laundry
-Fold and put away a load of laundry
-Sweep the kitchen or the hall floor
-Empty and load the dishwasher
-Put away random items that are laying out, or sort through a random pile of things
-Vacuum a room
-Clean the car interior after a day of driving to and from work
-Give the bathroom a quick clean

If I can do a few of these each night, I find that my house is cleaner and a little bit more peaceful. I have learned that I can’t live very well in an untidy or dirty house, and this list helps me so much! I hope that it helps you and blesses your home this week! The PDF file is linked below–feel free to download, print, and share!

Until next time, love from Amy!

  1. That’s such a good idea ! I’ve done something like that with a list of total chores for the week and check them off when I do them .Then if I’m too tired to decide, I can look at my list.
