It’s time for monthly favorites! Where the heck did November go? Where the heck did this whole year go?? It does not feel like it is the time of the year to start getting into the Christmas/New Year spirit, but that is life. Life goes so fast but it is so good. This year has been good.
Here are some of my favorite things that I have been enjoying this month and that have made me feel good.
J Crew Metallic Slippers. My sister gave these to me last year for Christmas and I’ve been saving them again for this time of the year. I wore these basically all Thanksgiving weekend and they are so cozy. I’m not a huge “sparkles” type of person but I really love these slippers. Insulated water bottle. I found this at TJMaxx a few months ago and I have used it almost every day this month and last month. This water bottle is a duplicate of the S’well Insulated Bottles–but for a fraction of the cost. This bottle keeps cold beverages cold for 12 hours and hot beverages hot for 12 hours. You can have hot coffee all day, YAY! I brought this water bottle with me to Iceland and it was amazing to have on hand.
Bella Beauty Sponge. This is a duplicate of the Beauty Blender but I also bought it for a fraction of the cost. My skin has become a little dryer this fall and using this sponge when applying makeup has been great to add back in a little moisture. Run the sponge under water, squeeze it out about 5 times, and then use the sponge to dab and blend in your foundation and creme products. P.S.– sorry this looks so dirty, I just used it before taking this photo.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation. I have mentioned this foundation a few times recently but it is definitely a favorite of mine. The coverage is pretty medium-full when applied with the beauty sponge and it lasts a really long time. I wore this on travel days to and from Iceland and it did not move at all.
Maple Yankee Candle. I have burned this candle whenever I have been home and it fills the room with a holiday spice, maple-y goodness, warm aroma.
The Crown Netflix Original. History and British drama–two of my absolute favorite things! This series was SO well done and I have been recommending it to so many people. This series is about the marriage and relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip before and during her reign. If you need a new show to get hooked on–this is the one.
