It’s Friday again and the weekend is almost here for some rest and relaxation. I know I definitely need that this week, who else is with me? I have just a few verses to share today from things I have read this week during Lent studies, and they were the perfect verses for me this week. Isn’t is amazing how the Lord can give you just the right verses and words at the exact moment when you need them?
Isaiah 49:16 “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before me.”
Isaiah 43:1 “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
These verses were so encouraging to me this week because sometimes it just feels like when I’m constantly on the go, I get overwhelmed, I get exhausted, I get sick, and then it takes me a little bit to get back to normal. But no matter what is going on in the day or the week, these verses helped me to remember that God knows me, better than anyone, and He has me. I can give Him any stress and trust that He is going to get me through it. I know I have probably shared some of these verses before, but they’re still just so good! So friends, if you’re feeling a little bit like a rag doll today, know that God loves you, knows you, and He has all of your life in His hands–rest in Him. I hope you do get some rest and relaxation this weekend and enjoy the little things.
