Ahhh, another work week is almost done and a few days of rest are just ahead. Welcome back to the sixth week of Reflections from Lent, I truly hope you have been enjoying these posts and that they have blessed you during this Lenten season.
This week, I have been thinking on seasons of waiting. I have talked to a few people going through this lately, and have heard some podcasts about similar subjects, and it seems that in life we’re always in a waiting season for something. Sometimes during these seasons, I tend to get lost on focusing on the big picture, or what’s happening behind the scenes, because I’m the kind of person who wants answers and everything ahead to be planned out. But during these times, I have to remind myself that God is in the waiting with me. God has not forgotten me during times of waiting. God is using times of waiting to form me into the person that He wants me to be. God is using times of waiting to draw me closer to Him and to make me rely completely on Him for answers and direction. If you’re anything like me, I hope these verses can encourage you as they have for me this week.
Isaiah 49:15 “I will never forget you.”
Hosea 12:6 “Therefore, return to your God, observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually.”
Lamentations 3:24-26 “The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I have hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the Lord.”
