Happy Friday! Today I am off on the first trip of 2017 for me and I’m really looking forward to spending some time with family. I try to start the packing process a few days before I go somewhere that way I can be making mental notes of anything else I might be forgetting, before I start to pack. I always like reading about what other people pack in their carry on bags and so I thought I would do the same today.
What’s In My Travel Bag
Snacks
I always start to get a little panicky if I don’t have some kind of snack with me when the hangry-ness hits. I usually pack things like almonds and Larabars because they travel well.
Airport Essentials
I have this green zipper pouch that I bought at Target and I keep the essential things in there like my phone, wallet, and passport–you know, the things that you need most available to you at the airport.
Planner
This year I added in a paper planner, in addition to my phone calendar, and I have loved using both so far. The planner I have been using is the Moleskin 2017 Weekly Planner and it’s also in this lovely teal-green color. I received this planner in the Winter FabFitFun box and it’s been perfect for my lifestyle. If I need to make any kind of notes about my week, it’s nice to be able to write them down in the notes side of the planner.
Reading Material
I brought along Just Mercy to read on the flights and I’m really looking forward to reading it. This book was one of my Winter Reading List picks so click over to this post for a book description.
Glasses/Sunglasses
It’s important to be able to see, usually. I really don’t want to get in the wrong car at arrivals. Haha.
Feel Better Bag
I got this cute, canvas zipper pouch for Christmas and I’ve been keeping things in there like pain reliever, sinus medication, Dramamine, tissues, chap stick, Emergen C, and anything else that I need.
Bag
I usually travel with my Longchamp Le Pilage and it’s been so sturdy to carry everything. I bought this bag 3 years ago during a sale and it’s been one of the best investment purchases I’ve made. This bag has been all over parts of Europe and the US.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! What kinds of things do you take with you when you travel?
