Things I’m Loving Lately | AD

Hi friends! Welcome back to the blog and for another favorites-related post! It’s been a while since I’ve written a post like this and I have a few favorites to share with you. This post is sponsored by Riverdean Watches–thank you, Riverdean!

Netflix’s The Final Table

I was sick with a strain of the flu a few days after Thanksgiving and into the first week of December and spent a lot of time in bed. I also spent a lot of time reading and catching up on Netflix shows. One of the shows that I watched in entirety was The Final Table on Netflix. This show is a cooking competition between the best chefs in the world and each week focused on a different ethnicity of food. This show was so fascinating, inspiring, and definitely worth the binge.

Netflix’s Salt Fat Acid Heat

I’ve been so interested in reading the book Salt Fat Acid Heat by Samin Nosrat and was happy to learn that it had been made into a Netflix special. This show was inspirational, educational, funny, and gave me the travel bug super bad. Samin spoke about her experiences with food, cooking, and taught how to incorporate these essential elements into home-cooking. This show is also highly recommended if you need something to watch!

Riverdean Avalon Watch

Riverdean reached out to me a couple of months ago to ask if I would like to try some of their watches. I’ve been thinking about getting a new watch and was very excited to receive this one! I love the color and the marble design on the face of the watch! It has been the perfect accessory to many of the outfits I wear! Riverdean has kindly offered to give my readers a 20% discount off any orders using the code “LOVEXAMY20.”

RMS Beauty Products

I’ve been trying to switch to all natural cosmetic products and decided to give RMS a try. I’ve heard so many good reviews about this brand and my best friend has also worn their products for years. I am hooked. I bought a concealer and luminizer and love how they look on my skin. I plan on writing a post about “clean beauty favorites” at some point, but I think that I’ll be using RMS concealer and luminizers for a long time.

Boxing

I took a boxing class with some of my friends in the fall and I’m (left) hooked! Haha, jokes! But seriously, this type of workout has been so therapeutic for me and has been really fun. It’s been a really long time since I actually enjoyed working out. I bought a boxing bag for myself and hung it in my garage, so now I can box whenever I wan

My January & February Favorites

January was just so busy that I didn’t get a chance to post my favorites for that month. Ahh! Instead, I’m going to combine my January favorites with my February favorites and double up on the fun! Yay for you, haha! I really like doing posts like this because they’ve helped me get into the habit of intentionally looking for things to enjoy and be grateful for. Do you have anything in particular that you’ve been enjoying this month?

Vital Proteins Collagen Powder

I have heard a lot of things about collagen protein and how it’s good for your hair, skin, nails. I was so excited when this came in a Bless Box! Collagen protein is also a good alternative for dairy/whey-free protein. I tried mixing this with only water but wasn’t really a fan of how that tasted. However, I did mix this in with smoothies and it was much better. I did see an improvement with hair my hair, skin, and nails felt after using this!

‘Tis The Season Candle from Bath & Body Works

7516805216_img_3186

As you can see, I’ve burned this candle a lot lately! This candle is the perfect scent for transitioning out of the holidays because it smells fresh, spicy, and fruity all at the same time.

The Greatest Showman Soundtrack

I wasn’t planning on seeing this movie because it didn’t really interest me from the trailer and I didn’t want to see it just because everyone else was. However, I did go see it with my mom and youngest sister because they really wanted to see it, and you guys–it’s totally worth all the hype! I have been listening to the soundtrack so much in the last two months and you can listen to it too on Spotify. This cast is so musically talented and the songs are super catchy. I think that this movie could easily be a classic for years to come.

Eye Cream & Hand Cream

7516805216_img_3191

I have been using this eye cream the last two months (I received it in a subscription box but can’t remember which one it was, oops!) and it’s been great for the mornings when my eyes feel dark and puffy. The applicator is a flat metal tip and so it’s already cooling to the skin when you use it. I have also been using my trusty L’Occitane hand cream because it’s been so cold and my hands have been so dry. I really like the citrus scent of this hand cream and also that it’s now made in a gel format and absorbs quicker.

L’Oreal Paris Purify & Unclog Pure-Sugar Scrub

7516805216_img_3188

This face scrub has been fun to use because it’s like scrubbing a kiwi on your face, haha! I needed something gentle to help exfoliate dry skin and this has been a great product. It almost starts to self-heat once you begin using it. I have heard good things, also, about these new L’Oreal face scrubs/masks and I’m impressed with how affordable they are.

Wen Winter Cranberry Mind Replenishing Treatment Mist

7516805216_img_3189

I talked about this treatment mist in a Bless Box post and I’ve still been enjoying it! This mist is so cooling and refreshing on the skin. I have noticed that my skin looks much more hydrated after using this. Plus, the scent is also really nice!

Oversized Oblong Scarf & Loft Click Bracelet

7516805216_img_3182

I love canary yellow. A lot. Aside from my typical black, white, navy, and grey–this is my spirit color. I found this scarf at Target for $5 and knew it was a good investment purchase. This scarf is so soft and I have just enjoyed wearing it. I’m going to Maine in a few weeks and this will definitely be coming with me. Another thing I have been wearing a lot is this marble click bracelet from Loft. I tried to find a similar one to it to link and just wasn’t able to find one, sorry! One of my sisters gifted this to me a few years ago for my birthday and it’s been a great staple piece of jewelry for me because of the gold, grey, and white.

Pink Things + Encouragement

Good evening! I am currently huddled up at home eating chicken soup because it’s freezing and raining outside. A couple of days ago it was almost 80 degrees–but that’s typical Oklahoma weather for you! Tonight’s blog post is going to serve two purposes–to share with you some pink things I’ve been loving this month (in keeping with the spirit of Valentine’s Day and February) and to share with you some scriptures of encouragement. This winter has seemed to be a little harder than normal, for me, to focus on encouraging thoughts and scripture, so I wanted to be able to share some with you in case you’re having a difficult time as well. I can’t wait for spring, sunshine, and warmth!

Podcasts I’m Loving

Happy Friday! In keeping with the theme of “love” during this month, I thought I would write some posts all about different things I’m loving. Today I’m going to tell you about podcasts I’m loving and why I think you should listen to them too. Do you like to listen to podcasts? I do because they’re great to listen to on road trips, commutes, at the gym, etc, and you typically learn more from them than you do listening to the radio. All of these podcasts can be found on and downloaded (for free) from iTunes. Enjoy!

The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey

I feel like an OG listener of this podcast because I started listening not long after it was launched, haha! This podcast is hosted by Jamie Ivey and she has a different guest on the show each week to “talk about the little things in life, the big things in life, and everything in between.” Her new book was also just released in the last few weeks–If You Only Knew–and it’s a number one best seller on Amazon! Make sure you purchase the book and read it! The guests on the show are all so inspirational and have some pretty incredible stories! Jamie has had guests on the show such as Kathie Lee Gifford, Lauren Scruggs Kennedy, Angela Lanter, Candace Cameron Bure, Sazan Hendrix, Ellie Holcumb, Catherine Lowe, and so many amazing others!

Selery Talks

If you’re interested in learning more about eCommerce, check out Selery Talks! Each week, there is also a new guest on the show who talks about their story and how they made their ideas come to life through eCommerce. There are so many cool products and companies that have been formed because these company owners were able to turn their dreams into reality.

The Popcast with Knox and Jamie

SO. FUNNY. If you want to have something hilarious to listen to and something that will make you laugh–The Popcast is the podcast for you! The hosts Knox and Jamie seek to educate listeners on “things that entertain, but do not matter” pertaining to pop culture.

The Influencer Podcast with Julie Solomon

If you are new to the blogging industry, or any form of digital influencing, this podcast is super helpful for learning new information and tools to help grow your business. Julie has also had some really awesome guests on the show who have been able to share their stories, tips, and expertise with digital influencing.

The Simple Show

This podcast is hosted by Tsh Oxenreider–book author and writer of the blog The Art of Simple. This podcast is about breaking down big items like the news, lifestyle tips, finances, etc–into simple things and concepts. I find this podcast to be really helpful!

When Meghan Met Harry

British royal fans unite! If you are just as obsessed with the British royal family as I am, I know you’re going to enjoy this! This podcast helps to document news items and the preparations for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19, 2018–only 99 days away!!
